ଅର୍ଥ : A group of families of trees and shrubs and herbs having well-developed perianths and apocarpous ovaries and generally regarded as the most primitive extant flowering plants. Contains 36 families including Magnoliaceae and Ranunculaceae. Sometimes classified as a superorder.
