ଅର୍ଥ : A toxic nonmetallic element related to sulfur and tellurium. Occurs in several allotropic forms. A stable grey metallike allotrope conducts electricity better in the light than in the dark and is used in photocells. Occurs in sulfide ores (as pyrite).
