ଅର୍ଥ : An act passed by Congress in 1978 to establish procedures for requesting judicial authorization for foreign intelligence surveillance and to create the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. Intended to increase United States counterintelligence. Separate from ordinary law enforcement surveillance.
